I let you in thinking you were for me, nice words, showing concern, just for you to take me for a ride, constantly showing your other side,
Never saw the red flags, just to get treated like a weak ass drag,
In and out there you go, leaving me to wonder where I went wrong,
Showing face to keep eyes from searching, you think your audience was oblivious,
That fake ass act had me looking ridiculous,
Hanging with your friends is what you would tell me, leaving without a glance, but you when you return it was me having to dance,
Dance enough without any questions, no friends around to keep me company,
Feeling like a kid scared to ask for money,
Necessities for your child and me, given a budget but to answer to the judge, checking receipts to for the amount spent,
If so concerned, you just should’ve went,
Walking on eggshells being cautious of what mood you’re in, your persona of apologetic, sitting in a corner like a caged bird, watching you mingle and dingle out in every place, laugh just to put on my fake face,
Things getting worse with the screaming and threats, the more it went on, very surprising I wasn’t dead yet, funny thing is I’m the one showing disrespect,
No leg to stand on, no voice to scream, time standing still, wishing you in the mist of a dream, continue to fight, with all your might, blinded by the first daylight.
